Essay / Importance of Human Resource Management - 1331
IntroductionIn this essay, I will explain why human resource managers must have a practical understanding of perception; motivation and behavior have the aspect of a human resources manager. In the rapidly developing world we live in, HR managers have a difficult task in how they see things and make the best decisions for their organization. Some would say that being a human resources manager is one of the most difficult jobs with the different types of people we have in the world today and with so many influences. Levinson 1978 (cited by Armstrong 2009, p. 301) suggests that “the structure of individual life is shaped by three types of external events: the sociocultural context, the environment, the roles that people play, the relationships that they maintain and opportunities…” To understand the whole perspective relating to human perception, motivation and behavior with respect to human resource management, it is very important for us to have an in-depth understanding of how perception, motivation and behavior are put into practice in the field of human resource managers. For example, you can ask two people to analyze a situation and they will get different results because of how they perceive things because of what they know. According to Armstrong (2009) p.307, “perception is the intuitive understanding, recognition and interpretation of things and events”, because we are all born as individuals with backgrounds, culture, environment and different religious beliefs, with different ways of seeing and understanding things. . As Mullins (2007) p.209 says......in the middle of the article......applies stereotypes because one can lose the best employer for the right job when it comes to a job interview. Human resources manager (HRM) therefore has the task of setting the scene of the organization which will affect the behavior of employees and that their objective is set on the target. It is therefore essential that HRM perfectly defines the organizational culture of the organization. Organizational culture will have a direct impact on employee perception, motivation and behavior. According to Werner et al (2008), organizational culture “is a set of values, beliefs, norms and behavioral patterns shared by members of the organization and which guide their behavior”. After setting up the right framework with the right motivators, employees will benefit from the right working environment, which will create good job satisfaction with excellent results for both..
