Essay / Are we the cause? - 653
Should humans take some responsibility for global warming? This is a question that is debated repeatedly. Global warming itself is a matter of debate, and it is scandalous to say that human interaction is the main cause of such a phenomenon in countless minds. Various people strongly believe that global warming is not real, while others believe that humans have no fault in the matter. There are various studies that present logical evidence as to why humans are the primary cause of an event like this. Global warming is causing abnormal activity on our planet, which has potentially fatal consequences; humans must reduce their consumption of greenhouse gases and better understand their actions. Instead of overusing non-reusable products, we as a society can start using reusable materials to minimize global warming. Global warming is the consequence of deforestation, CFCs (aerosols), oil and gasoline engines, as well as greenhouse gases and fossil fuels. The neglect humans have shown toward the Earth is due to the common mindset that "if I do this one thing, it won't have a huge impact on the world." Here's one of the main causes of global warming: When humans began massive deforestation, they released carbon dioxide into the atmosphere by burning an unprecedented amount of coal, gas and oil. Excessive use of carbon has influenced the increase in temperature. As a result, Antarctica's glaciers are beginning to melt rapidly due to the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. As gases thicken, radiation is absorbed and reflected back into our atmosphere, increasing the overall temperature. It also contributes to the rapid melting of Antarctic glaciers. We are at a time when the world is... middle of paper ......e The Earth was something of pure beauty: I'm not saying that the Earth isn't beautiful now, but it is East. It's not the same thing as before. The air was not as polluted and the water was not as deadly to sea creatures as it is today. The next time you're driving your car for an unnecessary reason, like going to the corner store, think to yourself: "What can I do to help our Earth?" » Works cited SOMERVILLE, RICHARD CJ AND SUSAN JOY HASSOL. “COMMUNICATE THE SCIENCE OF CLIMATE CHANGE.” PHYSICS TODAY 64.10 (2011): 48-53.
