Essay / Human socialization - 1520
To begin with, “religious leaders emphasize that we each have a soul and a conscience” (Charon, 2010, p.29). They also compare us to animals because we do evil, are selfish, and are made in the image of God (Charon, 2010). This suggests that religious view may be more nature-oriented because of how all humans are created. Belief as to when people become human differs between religious views. Some religious people argue about whether this happens at the time of conception or when the person is able to fend for themselves (Charon). There is no one-size-fits-all answer because there are many different religions.
