    For example, when looking at job satisfaction, a person who is high in neuroticism is more likely to be less satisfied with their job (Judge, Heller & Mount, 2002). In fact, they would probably be unhappy in most areas of their lives if neuroticism often led highly neurotic people to view everything negatively. Another definition given by other researchers is that neuroticism is actually a general way of reacting to any situation (Neal, Yeo, Koy, & Xiao, 2012). This obviously refers to how highly neurotic people tend to be very suspicious and paranoid about everything and everyone compares themselves to those who are low on energy.
