Essay / The effects of bullying and why we should stop it
Hello everyone. I am here today to give you a speech on school bullying. Basically, my goal is to tell you more about the effects of school bullying and why it needs to be stopped. Do you all know that one in four children are victims of bullying? (P2, Neurotic Ramblings) Of the 519 students surveyed by the organization, 129 said they had been victims of bullying. (P2, Sunday 7/16/2006) School bullying is a form of bullying that occurs in an educational environment. The behavior must be repeated and aggressive for it to be considered harassment. So, what are the effects of school bullying? First, victims of bullying may lose interest in school. (Victim point 1, source 2) Indeed, they feel useless after these bullies tormented them. They may suffer physically and mentally, such as developing depression or anxiety. (Victim point 2, source 2) Such an example would be an incident that occurred two years ago. Kenny was a primary school student at the time and, due to his young age, his attackers kicked and punched him. It was until Kenny complained of stomach aches and refused to say anything that his parents discovered he was being bullied. Although he complained to the school several times, it seemed that the situation itself had not improved and that's when he decided to file a police report . (P1-P23, Bryna, The New Paper, Monday February 13, 2012) This shows that the bully persists in his actions, despite several actions taken by the teachers at the school. His actions could cause great harm to his surrounding peers or cause others to join him. Not only would they lose interest in schools, but they might also feel even more sad and alone, experiencing changes in the middle of paper. .....resounding peers, but also themselves in the future. They might even feel better than others and continue to exploit others. In conclusion, we should all stop bullying. Bullying doesn't do any of us any good but only causes problems for everyone else. Isn’t living a peaceful life what we all want? We can start to have it by simply avoiding minor life problems like this. We all have better things to worry about and we shouldn't let these kinds of little things get in the way. Treat others the same way you want to be treated. If you treat others kindly, they will certainly treat you kindly in return, and vice versa. I hope you all have gained knowledge about bullying and are doing your best to pass this knowledge on to your surrounding peers. Thank you all for taking your valuable time to listen to me and let's stop the harassment!
