    The once happy marriages in the plays of Othello and Medea are more different than similar. In Othello, the marriage was between Othello and Desdemona. In Medea, the marriage was between Medea and Jason. They are really different on how they started, what changed and caused the marriage to collapse, and how they ended, but there are some similarities between them. At the beginning of the relationship, they are completely different because in Medea, Medea has fallen into the trap. in love with Jason after being hit by Cupid's arrow. She helped him recover the Argonaut from his father and fled with him. This also meant that she had betrayed everyone she knew and her homeland, Colchis.
