    Socrates once said: “The unexamined life is not worth living. » He questioned the very nature of why things were the way they were, never settling for simple, banal answers. Socrates would rather die seeking the truth than live accepting what he considers to be a blatant lie. I like to think of myself in the same way. I too would rather examine the wonders of life than accept what someone has just told me. The truth is that some people can't handle the truth. On the other hand, I welcome it with sincere impatience and fervent enthusiasm. The search for truth, much like Socrates, has always been a distinctive part of who I am and what I consider to be a noble and worthwhile approach to life. My mother told me that when I was a child, I always had another question for every answer she gave me. I remember it like it was yesterday. My mother and I brought back some flowers from the nursery to plant in her garden. As she went about her business laying down the mulch and arranging the flowers as she wanted, I began to notice the many insects embedded in the soil....
