Nuclear Weapons and Nuclear Warfare Throughout the mid-century of the 1900s, a period of new advancements in creating a bomb had occurred. On August 8, 1939, President Roosevelt received a letter from Albert Einstein who was the fundamental supporter of the creation of the atomic bomb. There are two types of atomic bombs fusion and fission, the first atomic bomb was created in 1939 by the Manhattan Project, three weeks later, after its first test, it was used in a real war. He is capable of wiping out an entire city and instantly killing anyone in his path. Now we have more precise bombs known as hydrogen bombs, these bombs use the energy released when hydrogen nuclei come together or fuse, unlike a fission bomb which draws its energy when the nuclei of a heavy element like plutonium or uranium separating, creating a chain reaction leading to a large explosion. The destruction of a nuclear weapon is devastating at the center of the explosion, temperatures reach millions. A strong blast of wind strong enough to flatten the building, strong enough to blow the paint off your car, because if a person goes there you will be instantly vaporized by the gamma rays emitted by the bomb. People who survived the explosion died within weeks, accounting for most deaths over a period of months. Nuclear bombs have the energy equivalent of a million tons of TNT. Many people who survived suffered second-degree burns from the clothes burning on their backs. Many survivors were soon diagnosed with cancer. During the first week after the explosion of the atomic bomb used in Nagasaki and Hiroshima, most deaths were related to burns, falls from buildings, radiation,...... middle of a paper...... unsuccessfully to carry out a nuclear test, this caused great disapproval internationally. Who knows what awaits us in 30 years with nuclear weapons and war, but I sure hope we don't end up in a war, because then we all die. The use of nuclear weapons will always be debated, but ultimately, if force is necessary to protect the country, so be it. Many people know that preppers fear a nuclear attack and must take extreme measures to ensure they are safe in the event of a nuclear attack. They stockpile food, supplies, gas, security equipment, weapons and some even go underground spending more than $100,000. “Atomic bomb”. World of inventions. Gale, 2006. Science in Context. Internet.
