For many large and well-known companies, its people are the most important asset. For McDonald's this also applies. Employees who demonstrate positive attitudes and capacity for commitment strive to lead in customer satisfaction. For this same reason, McDonald's restaurants strive to attract and hire the best people while providing the best place to work. Unfortunately, McDonald's and other businesses face employee turnover. Many of these reasons involve changing careers, returning to school, moving out of the area, and even new opportunities available to them. Although it can be very expensive to recruit and train staff to reduce turnover, McDonald's strengthens these measures and ensures that it chooses wisely and treats its staff well. McDonald's needs and is looking for people who want to go the extra mile and provide excellent customer satisfaction service. To ensure they select the best, they must identify the quality skills and/or behaviors that candidates must demonstrate to be hired and become part of the McDonald's family. Each position or job description contains an overview of the typical tasks and/or responsibilities that McDonald's wants its employees to follow. McDonald' also has specifications in which the personal skills and competencies of each candidate can be defined. Each restaurant is still responsible for filling available positions. When it comes to recruiting employees, McDonald's uses several techniques and many of the positions offered are advertised at McDonald's restaurants. McDonald's has one of the best recruiting records for hiring quality staff who provide this exceptional service to consumers. The main goal of the selection process is to hire the best candidate who fits the company's tasks and/or culture. It is extremely important that companies make good use of the selection criteria and develop them effectively.
