Computers and I never got along. However, I am not the only one. Many people have problems with computers and I am one of those unfortunate people. Like many others, when something goes wrong, I panic. Therefore, I have created a mnemonic device to help you, titled “Generous Sacrifices Carry Special Rules” which represents the five steps on how to deal with computer malfunctions for non-tech savvy people. The steps are breathe, stroke, baby talk, plead and restart. Each step has an important role to play in solving a computer problem. Breathing helps you calm down. Caress, talk with children and plead, use humor to calm a tense situation. Rebooting is the final and simplest step; you need to restart your computer for it to work again. Especially with computers, when a person is frustrated, everything becomes much more difficult, so you need to take a deep breath and try to calm down.
