  • Essay / Maher Abu-Ali: An Extraordinary Person - 668

Scary ChildhoodMaher Abu Ali had a scary, scary, scary, blood-curdling and terrifying childhood. On Sunday March 10, 1943, it all began. It was in a town called Tulkarem, in a country called Palestine. Why did he have a scary childhood, you ask? First, he was born in the middle of World War II, second, his country was in the middle of a war, and finally, his city was the capital of Palestine, so most Israeli forces were attacking his city. Can you imagine what it would be like to grow up with bombs? Well, that's life in Maher's place. Problematic PalestineMaher never looked for trouble, but trouble always found him. Maher and his family (two brothers, two sisters and two parents) were always looking for lessons and practices to do because Maher and his family loved learning new things. Skating, swimming, football, everything was knowledge in their perspective. Sometimes they were safe and sometimes they weren't. Then one day Maher suddenly had the idea that he wanted to learn to ride a camel. Soon he couldn't help but think about it, so he finally asked his parents. They said he could but he was trying not to get into trouble, but unfortunately trouble found him because as he was riding the camel it kicked him on the head. So Maher's parents took him home and he never thought about camels for a long time. Execrable EducationDespite this title, Maher had an extraordinary education in his native Palestine, but as you know, trouble always found him. After his incident with the camel, Maher's parents told him to stay out of trouble. Maher tried his best to do so, but this time, trouble hit everyone. It was 1948 and the day was not good, Israel had claimed Palestine and was hoping to change its name to Israel.
