Essay / judgement. Teach your children about the reproductive functions of the body and how to prevent pregnancy and unwanted pregnancies. Education is the key to preventing pregnancy, and I believe it starts at home. It is very common for schools to teach sex education in middle and high schools. Students learn about hormones, reproductive organs and conception. They are also made aware of sexually transmitted diseases and how to prevent their transmission. Students learn about many forms of contraception...... middle of paper ...... done. I would not recommend having a child until you are in a strong, committed relationship, have an education, and are financially stable. . I have been fortunate to have an incredible support system of family and friends. It made a very difficult time in my life a little easier. Many girls don't have this type of support, which tends to intensify the chaos and stress of being a young girl raising a child. Abstinence is foolproof. You cannot get pregnant or become infected with a sexually transmitted disease if you abstain from sexual activity. If you are young and choose to be sexually active, you should know all of your options to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents about sex and/or contraception, ask your doctor or another trusted adult to help you find the resources you need..
