    This is the area where I might struggle to “see patients as people”. Being able to balance the impact of our emotions on decisions is vital. Sometimes low emotional attention can prevent you from seeing artists as people. My scores demonstrate that my emotional orientation is weak. Only when you can understand your emotions can you understand someone else's emotions. It is possible that since I do not use my emotions to make decisions, I cannot see the patient as a person. I may not be able to comfort them, because I won't connect to them emotionally. The weak emotional orientation will be visible through my nonverbal cues and probably even through my conversation. As a result, the patient might not be able to connect with me and believe in my consultation. Therefore, emotional guidance is an important part of a pharmacist's role. Moderate levels of affective orientation are therefore essential to my success as a pharmacist.
