Bowen, present two different approaches to the cause of 21st century conflicts. Although there is a difference between their approaches, they both share the common belief that conflict can arise when one puts pressure on the other; but the reason why this pressure takes place varies between the two theories. In his article "The Clash of Civilizations", Huntington emphasizes that in the 21st century, conflicts will not arise on the basis of the ideology of a state or civilization, nor on the basis of the ideology of a state or a civilization. economic power; but they will take place due to differences in cultural and religious identity between civilizations. The first key point of this theory is the approach of Western civilization towards Eastern civilization.
