Using personal stories like mentioning Tiffany in “Born Sinner” or dropping her role model in “Let Nas Down” gives that authenticity. Most songwriters in our society today ask others to write their music or come up with a repetitive idea. And with his life there, the art of how he puts his words together was like therapy as he said; “those verses on this album were literally like therapy” (Kelley, Frannie, JCOCWHS).
