Essay / Personal Philosophy of Success - 749
To give my personal philosophy of success, I should first define “success”. Success is the achievement of a goal or objective. My success philosophy that I plan to implement from now on is to accept personal responsibility for the good and bad choices I make. There will be a time when I need to focus on school and worry less about my free time. If I have a test to take, I need to study for that test to get a good grade and continued good grades will help me pass the course. I can't count on anyone else to do my job for me. I am personally responsible for completing my tasks and turning them in on time. When the weekend comes and I'm just procrastinating, telling myself I'll study later. The smart thing to do in this situation would be to think wisely and use my time management strategies. I will always have time for myself, so sacrificing free time now is worth it. It helps me to be a creator and not a victim of things and to follow the self-management strategy. The success strategies I will use will help my learning style, self-management, and personal accountability. Most people think that success is just having a lot of money, cars and women, but I believe that success is an individual sport and I have to be ready to play because the outcome of my performance depends on the work that I put in. I devote myself to it. A Second Strategy I think setting goals is very helpful for my academic career. This is helpful for someone like me who always seems to slack off in school and give in to less important concerns. For example, I would have school and work as my main priorities, but I would get distracted and end up playing video games or just spending time doing nothing productive with my time. I decided to put some... middle of paper ...... everything, and write down the important events. Also, from personal experience, DO NOT procrastinate. Be interdependent rather than relying only on you or everyone else, find a balance between the two. I think the most important thing to do is believe in yourself. You cannot achieve your goals without this key factor. Also use a calendar, a list of next actions and a follow-up form. This has helped me a lot with my personal experience throughout this year. This reduces stress and helps you stay organized and on track to achieve your goals. “Where you come from” influences almost every factor in your life. It can make or break you. It makes you who you are today and who you will become in the future. If you come from humble beginnings, you might set a goal of not putting your family through this and having money, just as it might also lead you to value the little things in life..
