    People in mainland China had widely recognized the subject of moral and national education (MNE), but the subject is new to Hong Kong citizens Kong. This supplementary subject offered by the Hong Kong Education Bureau aims to help learners build moral and national personalities systematically and sustainably, as well as build student identity from different aspects, so as to achieve complete development of the person. [1]. However, a book titled "China Model National Conditions Teaching Manual" [2], published by the National Education Service Center with government funding, attracted the attention of local Chinese. Two forces have arisen and argued against the issue of abandoning MNEs in school curricula. Ultimately, the government failed to implement the MNE and postponed the plan. This essay will present the advantages and disadvantages of having a national education in Hong Kong, as well as the conclusion and recommendations on the topic. Having a multinational company can increase social cohesion. This subject aims to enable students “to appreciate the richness and beauty of the country through the observation of its landscapes and its antiquities” [1]. By knowing the country in its positive aspect, citizens will be willing to be part of the country. This can create a sense of belonging. As proposed by McMillan and Chavis [3], sense of belonging refers to the feeling of being part of the group, and one would sacrifice oneself to contribute to the group. Thus, developing a sense of belonging can involve more citizens in society, in which they are willing to participate and contribute to social affairs, and ultimately increase social cohesion.
