    Apple began on April 1, 1976 and was incorporated in 1977. The first Apple computer, called the Apple I, was invented by Steven Wozniak. In 1984, Apple then launched the Macintosh. Then, a few months after the Macintosh launched, they introduced the LaserWriter, the first affordable post-script laser printer. In the 1990s, Apple decided to partner with IBM and Motorola. Their goal was to create a new IT platform for their business. In 1997, Steve Jobs announced that Apple would join Microsoft in releasing new versions of Microsoft Office for the Macintosh. The same year, Apple launched the Apple Store. In 2001, Steve Jobs decided to launch a number of Apple Stores in the United States. Apple reinvented the consumer desktop computer when it launched its flat-screen iMac the following year. In 2003, Apple released iTunes for Windows. Apple has enjoyed success with the many products it has produced over the years. The key points for Apple are to be respectful of feelings, they focus on environmental footprint and energy renewal. The first key point I will talk about concerns the environmental footprint. They are able to measure this using a full life cycle analysis. To reduce the carbon footprint, they use fewer materials, ship with smaller packaging, don't contain many toxic substances, and are as energy efficient and recyclable as possible. The second key point for Apple is renewable energy, their goal was to reach 100%. renewable energy they have accomplished. At their data center in Maiden, North Carolina, they have several approaches to designing energy-efficient elements.
