Do opposites attract? With magnets, they do it. And in math, two opposites make a positive. But does this apply to human beings? Do opposites attract? Do those who are alike flock together? Many people have used these two phrases for many years, but what do they actually mean? Are these two sentences about appearance or personality? In truth, looking at these two sentences, they state the opposite: they contradict each other! How can both words be true if one exists and the other also exists? “Opposites attract” means that people with opposite appearances, personalities, beliefs, attitudes, and all other attributes in a human being are ideally suited to each other. “Birds flock together” states that people who are alike in every way make perfect partners. Now, not all factors of a human being have to be opposite or similar, but these expressions say that most factors are similar or opposite to each other. So the crucial question is: do opposites attract? Do people pursue those who appear to be their opposite or those who are similar to them, and how can we determine this? The only possible answer is to do some studies and figure out whether or not opposites really attract. And the studies that will be presented will conclude that opposites attract is a false claim. We will focus more on what can be seen in a person rather than what they can't see to show that the opposite attraction is false. For example, appearance is a major factor that can be seen by anyone without even talking to them. However, there are also other factors that one can observe in another Lam 2 person, such as their personality, just by greeting them or chatting.
