FIS is a consulting services company providing services worldwide; the company was involved in an offshore project designing training materials that required the formation of a project team, the team members needed to work effectively together and integrate their work in a successful manner that meets the objectives of the team and each member must interact with the customer in order to meet their needs. Working in a team can sometimes be stressful, which could negatively affect the team's progress and its ability to succeed, according to Maylor (1996) that the project is a set of non-repeated tasks that are carried out with clear objectives and a timetable limited, and that all projects have common characteristics, that they are goal-oriented, that they have beginnings and ends, that they have rules and procedures that limit their processes and that their results can be measures. The FIS project team went through a formal training process, which affected their performance. as a team; Normally, group development goes through five stages: formation, storming, normalization, execution, and adjournment. Once they arrived at their destination, the team members participated in an introductory session during which they were introduced to the client, the work already done and what is allowed and what is not. Through this session, the members got to know each other, they became more familiar with each other about their backgrounds and behavior, which led them to form opinions and make judgments about each member. This session helped create mini-groups within the team and these groups included members familiar with each other due to previous relationships.
