Essay / God's intention for missionary work - 701
“Jesus said to them again: '...as the Father has sent me, so I send you'” -John 20:21. This verse shows us Christ's will that Christians proclaim the word of his Father. But why should missionary work be so important that the Saint himself feels the need to implore Christians in the name of his Father to go and teach as Christ himself taught? The answer is simple, it is not coded in the context of vague scriptures. In 1 John 2:2, the Bible says, “He himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only ours, but also for the whole world.” With this logic, it goes without saying that missionary work is a necessity, because if our sins have been acquitted, does this not also mean that we ourselves must share this miraculous path of salvation with those who have good faith? more in need of salvation than we are? Throughout this essay, we will delve deeper into the purpose of missions and God's intention for missions. We will also examine the purpose, purpose, and mission of a specific mission agency. Then, to conclude, we will examine the results of the gospel in North Africa and the challenges faced by missionaries among people in countries hostile to the teachings of the gospel. In view of the facts, “A missionary is someone sent by Jesus Christ as he was sent by God” (Chambers). The main purpose of a missionary is to be faithful to the one by whom he has been called, to accomplish and implement his plans, and not his own selfish and carnal desires (Chambers). Thus, a missionary is an individual who has dedicated his life, who has been linked by union with the holy and just Lord, to the objective and ambition of the one he calls Lord and Master of his destiny ( Rooms). The propensity, when considering the life of a young person...... middle of paper...... form of work that a missionary might have to do in order to advance the Gospel for the love of the Lord. We also looked at the goals and objectives that a typical mission agency might have. Finally, we concluded by providing an overview of missionary work within a country and how missionary work should be carried out in hostile countries. Thus we see that God's mighty work is spread even in hostile regions, and that missionary work is a necessity for advancing the gospel. Works Cited Chambers, Oswald. My maximum for its highest.
