This debate primarily focuses on whether or not these acts should constitute crimes. Arguments take many forms. One of the controversies concerns the importance of personal freedom versus society's idea of ​​upholding moral standards. A second question addresses the problem of the conception of harm. People on this side of the debate raise the question of whether victimless crimes are harmful not only to the participants but also to other members of society.
