The beautiful blonde bombshell appeared on the cover of Family Circle magazine and the following month appeared on the cover of Yank magazine in the spring of 1946. In 1947, Monroe starred in Scudda Hoo! Scudda Hay! and dangerous years. Monroe was released from 20th Century Fox in 1948 and signed with Columbia shortly after. While at Columbia, Marilyn starred in a film Ladies Of The Chorus, and was released from her contract. Marilyn, who is currently not signed with anyone, is strapped for cash. She decides to pose nude to supplement her income while she is currently unemployed. Shortly after, Marilyn resigned herself to 20th Century Fox. Marilyn made three films during the 1950s: A Ticket to Tomahawk, The Fireball, All About Eve. Marilyn then appears in a number of films, but they are not memorable (Leaming 156-158). In 1953, Monroe played an unfaithful wife, Rose Loomis, in Niagara, the film that made her a star. The film Niagara contains sexual content which is being campaigned against. The film contains topics such as impotence, adultery, newlyweds and Monroe sexually singing a song called Kiss. This caused a slight outcry among critics of the right-wing group Daughters of the American Revolution (Woog 8). Fox, however, still released the film but delayed the release of the song Kiss.
