They both shone above the earth, looking down upon it and its vast emptiness. They dreamed of how they could create life on the planet below them, how they could create lives that would emulate the love they shared with each other. They spent millennia discussing how this could happen and what they could do. Starton and Starla had had sex in the hopes of expanding their family, but without success. Starla knew she needed a way to spread the dust of one of them across the earth. They had tried to fly down but were never able to leave their destination in the skies. Starton knew one of them would have to die. He thought about the dilemma and knew he didn't want to be the one to die, no matter how much he loved her. They continued to discuss the situation but Starton was tired of listening to her dreams and Starla was starting to get bored and restless. She began to notice a change in Starton. Starton had begun to resent his ridiculous ambition and obsession. Starla had finally had enough, she knew what he was going to do and knew she had to act first. She flew into the wind, picked up speed and started to circle Starton, with her two upper points she clipped her lower left point. Starton screamed and began to plead for his life, but Starla simply continued to stare at him as he began to fall through the heavens and to the earth. After only a few minutes, she began to feel relieved that he was gone. Starla could now enjoy the sky and not have to listen to Starton's negativity about her dreams. The next morning, she woke up and looked down, where Starton's body had landed, lay a man and a woman side by side. She continued to watch over the years and as time passed, man began to multiply... middle of paper ... to create a world full of people who could experience the same thing as them. Starla's act of violence in killing Starton explains why man has violent tendencies, why he becomes impatient, and how selfishness arises. Once Starla realized how resentful and selfish Starton had become, she wanted nothing more than for her dream to come true and to enjoy the pleasure of watching it unfold alone. This shows how time changes man. The two who once loved each other more than anything grew tired and angry. Man on earth continued to act the way he was “designed.” They were conceived through violence and continue to develop a society full of violence. Man has made society a place filled with selfish behavior and violent actions towards each other. Starla and Starton are also examples of how dreams and ambition can come true, but not without sacrifice..
