    Over the years, technologies have been improved to increase productivity and reduce labor; However, global concern is evident when hazardous waste from spills and discharges occurs due to negligence and lack of technological control measures. Air, water and noise pollution primarily contribute to environmental pollution via CO2 emissions, waste disposal in water systems and weapons testing/use, respectively . The depletion of natural resources creates an imbalance in the economy as industrial activity increases. The environment is exploited with extensive mining of oil, coal and minerals; trees are transformed into lumber; and wildlife habitats are threatened by agricultural activities such as deforestation.
