    Four examples of drinking water in Latin America and the Caribbean will be affected by rising sea levels in countries like the Bahamas and loss of glaciers in countries like Bolivia. Those suffering from poor living conditions rely on rainwater for drinking, and when rainfall decreases, they have to buy a bottle of water. What I found surprising was how many Americans drink or prefer bottled water to tap water. Chapter 8 explains that Americans prefer bottled water to tap water because of marketing, but I think Americans drink bottled water over tap water because they have the impression that it tastes better if the bottled water has been purified. Therefore, it does not have the smell that tap water may have or the taste that tap water may have. Technically, the two water reserves are still the same, this one is simply bottled. Bottled water contributes to pollution due to bottles not being recycled. Climate change contributes to rising temperatures, natural disasters, drought, hunger, migration, poverty and armed conflict. Cold weather changes can also contribute to children's ability to go to school, prevent people from going to work, reduce incomes and lead to increased medical expenses due to natural disasters. Social workers are needed to help in these areas
