    There are several reasons that play into the outcome of this hypothesis, reasons such as divorce, single parenthood, peer pressure or even violence within of the child's home. The truth is that teenagers are starting to become independent from their parents and spend more time with their peers. Being part of a peer group is one of the most important experiences a young adolescent can have. Social needs, such as feelings of belonging, acceptance, and attachment, only intensify during adolescence. However, children in this particular age group have not grown up mentally; leaving them mentally stuck between the mentality of a child and that of a young adult. Because these young adolescents are stuck in a transition, they can easily be persuaded by their peers to act irresponsibly. The teenagers observed at both locations were trying to become adults. The path each group takes is a result of how they will transition into adulthood based on their income potential. The involvement of peers within a social circle does indeed influence a young person's behavior. Through my observations, adolescents who engaged in aggressive behavior were helped by their peers to gain acceptance for their questionable behavior. This behavior was deemed acceptable by
