  • Essay / American Romance - 868

Hi I'm a student at Wayne County High School and I'm a junior here, well when you receive this I'll be a senior. Your teachers will probably give you the same thing. rating they gave me, have fun. For me romanticism is a very difficult unit and difficult to understand, as I said before, have fun. There are many good books, novels, poems, plays, screenplays, etc. which are in romance, but the ones I'm about to talk about are for me the best ones I've done so far, right now you may not have them or you already have them done or, you are waiting for answers. sleeping in class while your teacher talks to the class sounds like me. Anyway, that's all you need to know to be afraid of this unit. To begin, let's talk about one of the three stories I'm going to tell you. The first will be "The Last Of The Mohicans" directed by James Fenimore Cooper. This story is a great example of romance in many ways. This story takes place around the French and Indian War, when the United States was still ruled by Great Britain. If you've watched the movie or read the book, skip ahead to where I'm talking. on its characteristics. Now the story is based on two Mohican Indians and a white son they adopted, named Nathaniel. They soon save three people, a British officer and two young girls. They find themselves struggling to put them safe and try to help them. They return home. In a turn of events, the young Indian Mohican Uncas was killed while trying to save one of the girls. She was in love with him and tragically fell to her death to be with him. Then the last Mohican and Nathaniel killed Magwa. " (Line 4) they talk about the beauty of white snow and how it looks to me, it's a love of nature for some maybe not. The last one is intuition rather than facts in this quote “Father, who makes the snow?” (Line 22) says to his daughter: “And we spoke to him about the good All father” (Line 23) and finally “Who takes care of us here below” (Line 24) of which he speaks and of every father that I believe that he is. talk about God, and this is a great characteristic of this poem. So the period of romanticism was a time of new ideas, sometimes dark and sometimes romantic but it's really not romantic, so enjoy the unit, there are a lot of stories in this unit, the period of romanticism began in the 1800s and ended in 1850, it brought many new ideas to American literature and helped shape the path to literature. I hope for the best, Anonymous ℅ 2015 :P
