    The role of the Soviet Union in World War III has always been fascinated by the period of history that centers around the Second World War worldwide. So it seemed very appropriate to me to choose the role of the Soviet Union in World War II. I have divided this article into several sections to help you accomplish this task. The first section will discuss the fundamental and underlying causes of the war and how they relate to or involve the Soviet Union. The following section will discuss the immediate causes of World War II and the Soviet Union's role in it. The third section will discuss the battles that the Soviet Union participated in during the war, excluding the Battle of Stalingrad. This will be discussed in the fourth section of the document. The fifth section will discuss the Soviet Union's role in ending the war in Europe and its brief role in the war with Japan. The final section will discuss the Soviet Union's role in peace talks at the end of the war. I will conclude my article with facts such as the total number of casualties in the Soviet Union and some final remarks. Underlying Causes of World War II. This first section will discuss the fundamental and underlying causes of World War II and the collapse of the Soviet Union. role in them.
