  • Essay / 1940 Musical Murder Case Study - 701

It was a good setting to grab the audience's attention and also a way to move around or change the settings of the play. While I love this piece, my small criticism for this piece is about the players. Some other actors had understandable accents, but others didn't. For example, the servant's brother had a confusing accent because he constantly changed his accent from one language to another. This play was really nice, it had a little bit of everything: drama, comedy, romance, betrayal. What I loved about this play was the way they used the dramatic structure, the inciting incident and the climax. The inciting incident for this musical comedy play about the 1940 murders was guessing who the murderer in the play was, as tension built without knowing who the murder was. The highlight of this play for me would be finding out who the murderer was and just being in shock at how everything had turned into a new scenario. Overall, it was amazing to show how the piece developed and how well organized the transition was.
