  • Essay / God's Plan of Salvation - 1056

IntroductionRuth, an extraordinary young woman, makes a powerful declaration of commitment to her mother-in-law and to the God of Israel. Ruth's husband, brother-in-law, and father-in-law had died, leaving Ruth, Orpah, and Naomi widowed. The three women, devastated by their grief and loss, had choices to make. Naomi's advice to her two daughters-in-law is to return to their homeland. Orpah agrees with her mother-in-law and returns home, but Ruth refused Naomi's advice and wisely chose to stay to seek refuge with the God of Israel. Her announcement states that she was turning her back on her old nature, renouncing the non-religious methods of Moab to continue remaining faithful to Naomi, her people, and her God, the God of Israel. Through Ruth's statement, God's plan of salvation unfolds and provides us with a beautiful picture of the importance of commitment, of being loyal and faithful to God and to one another. THEM' 'Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried' There is more than symbolism; there is a reality to it. Even with the death of her young husband and the possibility of returning home, Ruth lets go of her past. She clings fully to this new family of Naomi and says, “I will be buried with your family. I abandon Moab. I abandon my own father (whom the scriptures indicate was still alive). I'm abandoning the old world, the old ways. Life hasn't been fair, but I'm going to date you. I will move forward in faith." Ruth's journey through life from here was graced by the hand of God because her commitment was based on the value of loyalty, love of God and the people she loves. he had put in her life Ruth, through difficult circumstances in her life, she had determined in her heart that she would not be moved by a...... middle of paper ......h. with all your soul and with all your mind in every aspect of my life must be committed to loving and serving God.ConclusionWe can draw on the testimonies of people in the Bible such as Ruth and the apostle Paul who, from through their commitment to God, we can see the amazing way God has worked in and through their lives “When God intervenes, the ordinary events of life take on extraordinary meaning” No matter where you come from, God has. a plan and purpose for you and He can do great wonders if you are willing to be faithful and committed to Him.
