  • Essay / Things That Influence My Personal Worldview - 2238

Worldview Final ArticleWorldview is how you see the world around you and your place in it. Obviously, a worldview is shaped and expanded over the course of a lifetime by many different influences. It's important to really examine your worldview and support it using many perspectives. This article will be composed of three parts, all integrating my vision of the world. In the first part, I will explain my worldview in detail. In the second part, I will compare my worldview to another. Finally, in part three, I will use my worldview to support my position on the ethical dilemma of abortion. In this first part of this article, I will explain my worldview. There are three influences that I will focus on to give an in-depth look at how I arrived at my worldview. The three influences are religion, family and my career choice. I think most of my worldview comes from my religion, so I'll start with that. I am a Christian and that involves certain beliefs. These beliefs guide my daily life and contribute to my worldview. One of these beliefs is to get your word out. God's word is a very important part to consider because it gives a framework to guide my life in all its aspects. The Bible is filled with commandments, stories and scriptures that refer to how to view life from a moral, social and personal perspective. We can also begin to see our life's purpose through the word. The purpose of life, according to the Bible, is the glory of God. We are supposed to praise Him, worship Him, proclaim Him, and follow His will. “As many as are called by my name, whom I have created for my glory, and have formed, and have made” (Isaiah 43:7). I love this verse because I feel like it reminds me of what God has done for me. From there... middle of paper ... idea of what my worldview is. I know that my religion, my family and my career choice have a huge impact on this. I can also understand why my worldview, which is rooted in Christianity, is more superior to the New Age worldview that is increasingly prevalent in our world today. Finally, using my worldview, I was able to take a concrete stance on the topic of abortion.
