As a young woman graduating from Dalles Whatonka High School, I believe it is important to get involved in as many activities as possible. Throughout my high school years, I participated in many school activities and committees such as student government. I have always had an interest in athletics and played sports. These leadership and athletic roles provide me with skills that will last me a lifetime. As senior class president, I can participate in the leadership class. Being in leadership allows me to work with other students who are involved in the student body working to help our school and community. As leadership, we play an important role in planning school events throughout the year. I have helped plan assemblies intended to strengthen our school spirit and assemblies intended to inform our students about recent issues or events. As a leader, I was fortunate to participate in planning school activities such as dances, after-school activities, and a loud parade.
