Essay / Environment versus economic development - 573
After the machine age, especially in Britain, the height of people is the shortest in human history (Clark, 68). Around this time, people started using highly polluted machines powered by oil or coal, for example cars and trains. Massive revolution and development was beginning. People suffered from pollution and their health was seriously affected. No one previously expected the British to be better in the 21st century; but today it has become one of the largest cities in the world. Many people believe that economic development is caused by environmental destruction, but there is obviously evidence that the environment improves with economic development. With economic development, factories begin to change. First, factories are starting to use new energy. For example, many automobile industries are looking for new energy instead of oil and coal. In September 2013, the first solar-powered car race took place in Australia: "Based on the original idea that a 1000W car would complete the journey in 50 hours, solar cars are entitled to an amount nominal of 5 kW of stored energy, or 10% of the stored energy. this theoretical figure" (World Solar Challenge). Second, factories are starting to produce eco-friendly consumer goods. We can now see a large amount of recycled products, such as biodegradable bottles, which cannot harm the environment. Third, many entrepreneurs try to use environmentally friendly strategy to build a good image. 20 years ago, many factories advertised that their products had more effect, which was due to relatively more. energy; but now almost all companies are trying to show their products as green, healthy, recyclable and reusable. Governments start paying attention to the environment when the quality improves. Initially, developed governments can issue policies. for...... middle of paper......to ensure that in many aspects the government, businesses, citizens and children are prepared to protect their own nature. In fact, many Chinese students and their parents believe that China is and will be permanently polluted, while it might not be forever, continuously polluting should not be possible in a country with an 8% GDP growth. Therefore, as a Chinese, do not continue to say that China is dirty and is getting dirty.
