DJ and English. CR (2010). The purpose of this research was to see if thin dolls had any effect, if any, on young girls' perceptions of their body image. He also focused on the effects of food intake after exposure to the thinner doll. The number and type of participants used in this study were 117 girls, from seven different schools in the southeast of the Netherlands, Anschutz. DJ and English. CR (2010). Their ages ranged between 6 and 10 years old. The measurement was carried out on a slimmer doll (Barbie), a medium-sized doll (Emme) and Legos under controlled conditions. The dependent variables in this study include body esteem, actual gap between ideal body size and food consumption. The format of the tests consisted of facial images of smiley faces, intended for responses to statements. In order to measure the gap between real height and ideal height, nine different figures of girls were drawn. They ranged from very thin to very fat.
