    Inner Voice: I parked the car. Turning it off, silencing its low rumble, I removed my seat belt and took a step into the cold, star-speckled night. I thought for a moment… then surrendered, dropping into my seat and rummaging in my bag on the passenger seat to remove the black notebook, its leather binding cool against my skin. [Tico gets out of the car again and gets off. the concrete path to a house]Inner voice: This is really a beautiful house, I thought. The elaborate carvings that ran along its eaves, its cerulean shutters, and even the interesting melodic creak of the steps as I went down and got up again. I hoped to use this house later as a setting in one of the stories I had created. [Tico knocks on the door. It opens and his sister Debbie appears behind.]Tico: Hey Debs!
