Essay / Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust - 726
The Holocast is the name for geonocide, or mass murder of Jews, Roma (gypsies), Slavs, communists, socialists, Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals and people with medical disabilities. This geonocide, led by Adolf Hitler, chancellor and future dictator of Germany, resulted in the deaths of six million Jews and thousands of other innocent people. The Holocaust is undoubtedly the worst thing that happened in our history. In our modern world, we still have racist and religious problems all over the world, especially in the Middle East and Africa. By studying the Holocaust, we can learn many things and gain perspective on our lives. Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazi political party and Führer of Germany, was born in Austria. In 1933, he became Chancellor of Germany and future dictator of Germany. Hitler's plan called the "Final Solution" was a plan to destroy the Jewish people living in Europe at the time. We study this part of our history to know that the prejudice, racism and abuse of power used by Hitler that led to this mass murder should never happen again. The Holocaust also taught us to appreciate, respect and value human life. Adolf Hitler was the instigator of the Holocaust. This world history event occurred from 1933 to 1945 and involved the massacre of 6 million Jews. During this period, Jews were deprived of their citizenship rights by the Nuremberg Racial Laws. They were taken from their homes and forced to live in concentration camps. In these camps, Jews were treated horribly. They were killed, brutally injured, died of disease and lived like cattle. In these concentration camps, the individualistic human characteristics of the prisoners were suppressed. The heads of the captives were shaved, they were all f...... middle of paper...... people who died and had a story. In conclusion, the Holocaust and the events leading up to, during and after it were a mass of horrible and terrible events. The number of people killed during this period is unimaginable and makes us respect human life. This teaches us that Hitler's abuse of power should never happen again. The Holocaust was a period of racism, discrimination and prejudice in our history. We have learned that it is unacceptable to remain silent while others are hurt. We study the Holocaust to learn about Hitler's cruelty and the pain he inflicted on many groups of people. The Holocaust taught us to accept diversity and individualism. It also makes us grateful that we were not alive during this time in our history. We learned that this cruelty should never have happened and nothing like this should ever happen again..
