In this experiment, they had several different dolls. A white, mixed and black doll. They were educated in segregated schools in Washington DC and integrated schools in New York. They found that black children in segregated schools in Washington, DC, chose white dolls to play with, while all children in integrated schools in New York chose a variety. What this meant was that the black children in the segregated school wished they could be white. This is a critical study that was carried out during the Brown v. Board. Finally, another critical factor in the Brown v. Board decision was a man named Earl Warren. Earl Warren was governor of California and encouraged and established Japanese internment camps during World War II. He received a lot of grief and reprimand for doing this horrible thing. After that, he felt immense resentment. Later, he was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court. Then the Brown v. Board decision came before his court.
