  • Essay / Analysis of the documentary Freedom Summer - 1026

The documentary tried to show us how the factories were corrupt and could not provide good working conditions for the workers until we lost staff. This documentary recounts the tragic fire that occurred on March 25, 1911 in the Triangle factory. We clearly see through this documentary that these people did not matter to the factory owners because their needs were not met. The documentary shows that the year before the fire, workers led a strike to demand better working conditions, but clearly their voices were not heard. After the fire, factories began to improve working conditions. It is sad to learn that it took 146 innocent lives for factory owners to be convinced of the need to improve the working conditions of the poor.
