    It was this third stroke that took a major turn for her. Due to the daily responsibilities of my family, work and taking care of us children, none of my uncles, aunts or mothers could find time in their busy schedules to take care of my grandmother. Considering she needed 24/7 care, they thought it was best to place her in a nursing home. Toward the end of November, she arrived at Miller's Merry Manor. From my personal perspective, the environment seemed exceptionally calm and comfortable. When I first walked through the doors, I noticed a bird cage built into the wall containing about 20-30 birds. I could hear them chirping in the hallway. The scenery was particularly relaxing. The building was very clean and smelled of flowers, which led me to believe that this setting was suitable.
