Essay / Characteristics of Common Sense - 729
The study of people in society reveals that more people exercise common sense than those who do not. These people seem to be better decision-makers, find an easier way to handle tasks, and always anticipate the end result of any situation. Wearing a seat belt and not texting while driving shows that people use common sense and think about the consequences. It is known that not wearing a seat belt and allowing distractions while driving could possibly lead to an accident that could cause serious injury. For those who do not use common sense in daily tasks, the end result of a situation is not as important. These people are known to be poor decision-makers. Smoking is a perfect example of someone not using common sense. These types of people know that smoking can lead to serious health problems and they continue to smoke regardless of the consequences. The same goes for a person who chooses to drive drunk. The consequences are known, but have no effect on a person's state of health.
