No matter where you go, bullying is around the corner. There is no age to become a tyrant. Movies make high school the biggest breeding ground for bullies; but in the real world, this is not the case. Bullying is a serious problem and can happen anywhere, at any time and to anyone. Bullying in an elementary school begins on the first day of school. By the end of kindergarten, more than 20% of students report being bullied during the year. By the end of primary school, 9 out of 10 students say they have been victims of bullying at one time or another. Students who bully in elementary school are more likely to experience it during their middle school and school years. Aggressive and violent behavior toward elementary school students not only continues after high school graduation, but they eventually end up with criminal records. Although peer bullying can happen anywhere in the school, elementary school students report being less safe on the playground.
