Essay / I Just Want to Be Average, by Mike Rose - 1025
Teachers should be allowed to teach students the way they want so that the lesson plan is more fun and exciting. Boredom is just an emotion and teachers should not feel like they are affecting the mood of students because of it. Teachers must be able to involve students in their own thinking process. Teachers need freedom and should not have to worry about how quickly they teach a subject because the government wants it done in a specific way and at a specific time. Teachers understand that students all learn differently and many teachers want to help all of their students, but they are stuck in a school system that dictates how to teach. Then students are affected because instead of getting help in their subjects, they get bored. Students should never be bored and never feel like teachers are not bored because they are bored too. Students should be enthusiastic about learning and not afraid to go to school; they must enjoy learning new information every day. The only way to change this situation is to allow teachers to take control of the system and demand action from the government.
