  • Essay / Influence of Benjamin Franklin - 1355

At the age of twelve, he left school and went to educate himself and learn things on his own. Franklin helped start the city's first police force, first volunteer fire company, first fire insurance company, first hospital, and first public library (fee.org). He discovered new things, invented machines to help this world, and helped create and establish America. He wrote a practical guide to civics, wrote a list of virtues: productive schedule, striving for perfection, and his goal was to try to improve. Looking at everything Benjamin Franklin did, it seems he continues to leave a huge footprint on our country.
