A person who has a college degree gains more credibility and respect than someone who does not. Therefore, the reason more employers are looking for employees with higher degrees is because “56% of hiring managers reported higher quality work [and communication] from college graduates” (Sager) than those without a diploma. Moreover, in society, alumni enjoy more favorable social prestige than those who do not graduate from university. People view students as educationally superior because they specialize in a certain specialty. In addition to the college experience and graduation, many students begin to build social networks with like-minded peers and other high-ranking professionals. Professionals such as teachers, mentors and special guests on campus inspire students to succeed. Along the way, peers participating in the same university program help each other throughout the courses and create lasting bonds.
