Essay / Personal Opinion Essay: Short and Long Length...
If literary works were to be divided into two categories based on the length of the work, I would propose that these categories could be works that take at average drive less than half an hour. an hour to read, called shorter literature, and more than half an hour to read, called complete literature. If this statement is accepted, then I think that short stories, short plays and poetry would fall into the category of short literature, while the category of full-length literature contains plays, novels and short stories. longer news. Poetry is the only genre among those that, because much of it is left to interpretation, is difficult to define character development. The rest of these works, short and complete, contain clearer examples of character development. Full-length works are capable of more than one character defying stereotypes, therefore more effective for the reader, whereas shorter literature is usually capable of one, if any, characters defying these roles. Gurney writes: Greg (to hear...... middle of paper...... there is hope in not following a stereotype. The rhythm actually shows this because at the points in the story where they are present, the story picks up; the plot is imbued with energy when people break the status quo. This is what pushes the reader through this short work to linger a little longer on Jackson's short story which precedes. . a little dialogue. Dialogue does not necessarily drive the story, but simply adds to it Given the pacing and the presence of a specific antagonist, full works will more often conquer short works when testing their effectiveness. on readers. Dividing works into two categories based on their length makes it easier to analyze how they will affect the reader. Audiences will retain literature longer if its content is longer and more developed...
