Approximately 75 to 80 million people in the United States suffer from mental illnesses to some extent (for the mentally ill, finding treatment becomes more difficult) . Many people are unaware of the treatment available to the mentally ill and the limited resources available. Many people view people with mental disorders as crazy or clinically insane, when the reality is a problem that many people live with daily with the help of medications, visits to a psychologist, family, friends, help groups and many other support systems. . The lack of support available for mentally ill patients, especially as they will refuse treatment and refuse to find help for their disorders. Many people born with mental disorders grow up knowing they have a problem, but people who develop them later don't understand how to deal with it.
