Essay / Portfolio Project Google Innovation - 1688
Portfolio Project Google InnovationGoogle Inc. a search engine created by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998, a company that has become one of the fastest growing companies focused on services and products linked to the Internet. (Google, nd) Google is an innovative company that allows its employees to think freely. A company that has shown many outsiders what innovation can accomplish by creating ideas like Google Glasses, Google+, and Android phones. Google's constant innovation has made Google a competitor in the field of innovation. Even though on a smaller scale next to Apple, Google is not far behind in terms of innovation as they continue to be competitors in terms of technological innovation. As Popelka (2013) puts it, “Google appears to be poised to retake the throne of technological innovation formerly held by Apple.” As Google's success reaches an all-time high, Google maintains its image of innovation through its mission, ambition and continued building. These three innovation strategies have placed Google alongside big names like Apple and Microsoft. This constant search for success and innovation has led Google into many innovations and adventures. Their innovation strategies have pushed them and given them a platform for success for many years. If it was about the extreme efforts put in by the staff and ideas, Google would not be the company it is today and they will continue to strive to use their innovation strategies to succeed. As we see the Google logo, we think of innovation. But do we really know why Google was so innovative? It is Google's culture of interworking that has allowed Google to compete with Microsoft and Apple. Not only are their products innovative, but their culture within their organization says a lot about a company... middle of paper ...... keep saying "yes" and resist a culture of "no", accept the inevitability of failure, and keep repeating until we succeed. Google will continue to innovate with new ideas for many years to come. Works Cited Baumgartner, J. (2014). How to evaluate ideas.
