Hand-eye coordination is used every day in just about everything. Athletes need good hand-eye coordination if you simply want to be a good player. When shooting a basketball, you must be able to know how to shoot a basketball and you must be sure to know your dominant hand and your dominant eye to see the best results. The way people shoot a free throw was done in much the same way. way for years. People walk up to the line and right-handers put their right foot in the middle of the line, while lining up with the hoop. Where left-handed shooters put their left foot on the line, while lined up in the middle of the hoop. The shooter then focuses on the rim and backboard, then takes a deep breath and slowly goes through the shooting process while maintaining complete concentration and good form. The movements of shooting a basketball: • Bend your knees slightly. • Place the ball on the fingertips of the dominant shooting hand. • Place the opposite hand on the side of the ball for balance (but don't use it to push the ball, otherwise the shot will be wasted). • Aim for the back of the rim. • In one quick movement, extend and bend your legs and pull. with your fingertips. • And finally continue your shot. What happens when you close one eye and try to shoot a free throw? Will you be better or worse? Now, what happens when you open one eye, close it, and then close the other eye? Will you take more shots than the first time? This is what we are going to discover. First, your eyes control depth perception, balance, reaction, and the better your eyes are, the better your awareness. Closing one eye will significantly diminish these abilities. Will this affect your free throw? And does it matter if your dominant eye is open compared to your other eye open?
