Underage Alcohol AbuseThe Story of My Research“Did you steal alcohol from your aunt? » my mother asked me while we were in the car on the way home. Her face looked disappointed and worried when she asked me. It's a question that most teenagers would have feared if they'd heard it come out of their parents' mouths, but I knew I hadn't, so it was okay. I never thought my mother would actually ask me this question, hence the fact that I'm not of legal drinking age, but the alcohol was disappearing from my aunt's house and it's all just suspect the teenager did it. I didn't like how they suspected me of doing it just because I'm a teenager. Now every time I visit my aunts house they like to watch me more closely which I find very annoying because I haven't done anything but I don't worry about it I just let them do it what they do. Alcohol isn't my cup of tea and it won't be anytime soon, but most teenagers drink before they're supposed to, so I guess I understand their suspicions. I already knew about some of the minor effects of drinking alcohol, like clouds. your judgment or may cause you to lose consciousness. I also already knew one of the reasons people drink: to escape the stress and pain of reality. Most teenagers start drinking early for this reason, also because of peer pressure or just for fun. One more thing I knew from seeing this with my own eyes is that alcohol can ruin your life when abused. Ever since I was accused and questioned about drinking, I have wondered what is so special about alcohol? They seemed more concerned about me drinking it and having alcohol than about the alcohol actually going away. Why were they so worried? This made me want to know more about underage drinking... in the middle of an article... young people can be lectured on the consequences of drinking alcohol all day long, but if these consequences are not implemented, then they will not take what is said seriously. In conclusion, underage drinking should never be praised, but it should be looked down upon and avoided at all costs. Parents and guardians must intervene to stop underage drinking. Listen to what their child has to say, be there for them when they need someone. The media must be more careful about what they publish. Young people need to be more aware of the effects of alcohol consumption to be able to save their lives. Other consequences need to be put in place to help make it clear to young people that underage drinking is not acceptable and never will be. Alcohol should never be a source of comfort, as it can ruin lives, especially at a young age..
